Which Credit Card to apply for...

Hi

I hope these questions hasn't already been answered somewhere - tried looking but there are so many posts!

I want to apply for my first credit card. I have a good credit score and two overdrafts which add up to £3200 in totla. I am currently £600 into one of my overdrafts - will that affect me getting a credit card? What can I do to get more of a chance of getting a credit card and which credit card is the best one to apply for (considering that I may want to use all of the credit limit up in one go). What sort of credit limit can I expect for a first credit card... is the fact that this is my first credit card taken into account when they decide on my credit limit...?

Thanks so much for your help - sorry if these are stupid questions.
