About to be made redundant....

I've recently been notified that I will be made redundant on/around 7th February. Although I've been in this situation before I have always been lucky and secured another job straight away but looking at the current job market I'm concerned that I'll struggle to do that at the moment.
Can anyone please help me to work out what I will be entitled to if I am unable to find work. I've checked 'entitled to' and the HMRC calculator but both give very different answers.
Family - myself, husband and 9 year old. We have a mortgage and currently receive Child Benefit of £80 per month and Child Tax Credits of £42 per month. Husband works fulltime (36.5 hours) and his take home pay is around £220 per week. We have no current childcare costs as family help out before/after school.
I am assuming I will be entitled to Job Seekers and possible an increase in Tax Credits but the whole benefits thing is totally new to me and incredibly confusing. I have already applied for several job and have worked fulltime for the last 18 years so I'm hoping to be working again soon.
Thanks for your help

With the hours your partner works its unlikely you will get JSA but you can still sign on to recieve your NI credits.0

Would I not be entitiled to Contribution Based JSA?0
-
I'd have thought you would be - my ex claimed JSA for himeslf when I was working full-time for a lowish wage. I'm no expert though...Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0

Thanks for your help so far

Can anyone help on the Tax Credits / Working Tax Credits as I'm totally confused. Thanks.0 -
Hello!
Almost exactly the same thing happened to me this time last year, your oh prob takes home about the same as mine.
I was entitled to contribution based jsa for 6 months then it was up for review (not sure why after working pretty much full time for 15 years!!), luckily i got a job just at the end.
My tax credits were a little higher than yours (but not by much) and we were not entitled to any other benefits ie: housing/council tax etc.
Will you get any redundancy payments that could tide you over till you find something else?
Good luck, try not to worry too much it will all work out in the end! x
Oh and it might be worth making an app at your local CAB to talk to an advisor, they are really helpfull.
Edit - just noticed your tax credits are £42 a month, you should get around that weekly i think ours was about 35ish, but it will depend on earnings so far in the tax year etc.0 -
Thanks for taking the time to respond Merdoom
We are only being given stat redundancy so in my case it will be just 2 weeks pay
