Hiya, apologies as this is my first post and im after help. I bought my girlfriend a pair of UGG boots on the 17th of December from BANK(JD SPORTS) for christmas, they are the UGG BAILEY boots.I paid 160 pounds for them. My girlfriend didnt wear them until boxing day, by the 30th the boots had collapsed and folded over on one side,we took the boots back to bank, who refused to change them, but said they would send them off for inspection. Today(13/1/10) my girlfriend recieved the boots back with a letter that stated "the alleged fault is a result of wear and tear" These boots were worn for 4 days and cost 160 pounds!!! As far as im aware they havent been inspected by the manufacturer, but by JD SPORTS inspection team, what can i do?

Why would they not take them back to Bank?

OP, contact Ugg and see if they will look at them for you. Send Bank a letter before action, advising of your intention to take small claims court action, and if they will not budge, issue a SCC action.

You do not need to prove that they are inherently faulty, at such an early stage it is up to the retailer to prove that they are not, but a report from Ugg would make things much more clearcut.
    Gone ... or have I?

Ugg Bailey are supposed to be worn folded down. So they're not faulty, you just bought the wrong style for what you wanted.
