My 0% card expires later this year i will have paid the dept off in full before it does whats the best way to go about getting another 0% card? should i cancel my existing card once it does and if i do cancel will that affect my credit score?

If it's your only card and the balance is zero before the end of the 0% promotion, then no reason to close it. Exception might be if the credit limit on it was phenominally high compared to your income, but otherwise no reason to.
Slightly confused that if you've cleared the balance then you won't have an outstanding amount that needs to be tarted as your subject heading implies?
