YHA youth hostel holiday - Advice sought

  • If you are looking for something like a Travelodge then Sherwood Forest is OK but as previous post said it is not in the best situation. I have been there and found we had to take our teenage children to Nottingham for entertainment.

Alstonfield in the Peak District might be worth a look as well as the others suggested.

    something like a Travelodge

As the warden at Bellever hostel said to me: "Our competition is Travelodge now".

Since the management of the YHA got taken over by motorists and accountants they've been wrecking the organisation as fast as they can go.

Well I've booked two nights at the YHA National Forest this summer using clubcard vouchers so here's hoping it will fit the bill.

Anyone got hints/tips or views on this specific YHA

anyone ever been to Hunstanton or Wells next the sea?
Mad Mum to 3 wonderful children, 2 foster kittens and 2 big fat cats that never made it to a new home!
Aiming to loose 56 pounds this year. Total to date 44.5 pounds 12.5 to go. Slimming World Rocks!
  • I went to Hunstanton a few years ago. It was a nice hostel and quiet - but it was outside of the school holiday season. Wardens were very helpful too.
