HDNL phone call charges

I had occasion to phone HDNL over xmas with regard to non delivery of an m and s parcel. I needed 5 calls in total to sort the delivery out as they never turned up. My phone bill has come and the charges are £12. I am so so annoyed. M and S havent been very helpful this evening so I think I will fire off an email and see what they say.

  • Why?

It's not M&S or HDNL that charge. It's the company you have your phone with that charge. Not these companies.

I always have to call 0845 or 0870 numbers. And there is always saynoto0870 website to search through.

Ahh your wrong the companies choose to set these numbers up and get a cut of the call charges. Thats why they do it.

I wrote to Elaine Boyle (details on HDNL website) and got a cheque for £10 to cover some costs. It is possible :)
  • Marks have given me a £10 credit on my account. I do think they have some repsonsibility. I have no choice in which courier they use and they have chosen to employ one with extortionate phone costs to get through. If it had been my fault HDNL didnt deliver on the specified day then I wouldnt have bothered, but having taken a day off work, not got the parcel and then tried ringing to see where it was, I dont think I should have been out of pocket.
But good on M and S.
