Hi, we have concluded on a house but had to have remedial works signed off (7 in total) before council would issue a letter of comfort so sale could complete, however structural engineer, electrician, plumber and joiner had a look at loft today and the news i received is that they have to rip everything out and re-do it.
We are the buyers, the seller has to pick up the tab for this and the cost is being sent to the seller to see if they want to proceed.
My question is.. does anyone have a rough idea how long this ripping out and sorting could take, our lawyer is awaiting the official story but i will have to wait around a week for that!
if anyone can offer any input, it would be much appreciated.
