Fake Hpi Drift Tyres

Hi people,
Not sure if people have much information on this so will fill in the blanks and see if you can do the rest
Story is that a brand called HPI make remote control cars and bits like that and they produce drift models
They make a specialist drift tyre called a T-Drift. I fancied some of these so purchased some from an ebay listing called "1/10 RC Car HPI T-DRIFT DRIFT SLICK TIRE " as far as I was concerned they are the real thing as they state to be shall we say.
After reading a number of thread on the internet about the shop in question I have been told they are selling a lot of copied products and even include the HPI logo on the side.
Is there anything to do about this given I bought what I considered a genuine product. THe company itself is in HK or China (cant remember which) if that changes anything?

do you have a link to the auction?
also the HPI stuff is rubbish, you would be far better off with ansmann, they are 12 pound a set from modelsport0 -
Not my actual auction but I have one of it selling now

You buy from HK / China and expect a genuine product !! Welcome to the real world. 99% of eBay branded items from the far east are knock offs, I thought everybody knew that.0

Yeah thats fine but to openly advertise real is another thing. If they put something like T-drift replicas it would be ok but to advertise as the real thing?
Even fake stuff from abroad doesnt advertise as "Rolex watch - latest model" etc0 -
what were you expecting it to say?
'genuine fakes'?helpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -
i've just read your second post again and i'm astounded at the naivety you've displayed.helpful tips

a lot of the top r.c. sellers are in hong kong, but i've never heared of that seller.
you need to talk to jason at jrrc, or stella models, both have shops on ebay0 -
Surely that has something against trades description act etc?0

what're you going to do? issue a small claims court action against the seller?
please look up the meaning of the word 'counterfeit'.
i'm not sure what you're expecting from all of this to be honest, yes it's against any relevant trade description law, but surely you're not expecting a seller from hong kong to be bothered about that when he has your money?
they're fake goods, contact ebay and try and instigate a refund, but don't hold your breathe.helpful tips

LMAO there is one born every minute, like already mentioned what were you expecting Genuine T-Drift Replicas, not fake but possibily fake.
As for counterfeit goods abroad if the watch actually says rolex on it they will sell it as Rolex, normally most counterfeit goods will have a slight change, gucci for example is usually changed to cucci, Rolex - Rolox, but they will still make it sound genuine.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0
