New Car Problem
Hi All.
Last November I ordered a new car (Ford Focus) through a broker Deal Drivers. The dealer got in touch and all the bits were sorted out and I was told delivery was expected in mid Febuary, which was fine. In the new year I recived a call from the dealer saying the car would be ready in a couple of days. Now the dealer is in Derbyshire and I live in Plymouth and beacuse I'm using the scrappage offer I have to deliver my old car to them. So i need time to sort things out beofore making the trip. I was palnning to go up this weekend to collect the car so called the dealer to arrange it. I was then told the car was there but one of the options I had asked for handnt been fitted by Ford. It was tinted glass and larger wheels. Altough not essentail to the car its the first new car I've had and so I dont want to compomise. The dealer gave me 3 options:
1. Get my deposit back and walk away.
2. He offered to have a local company tint the windows and include them in the price and then refund the full price of the package.
3. Reorder the car with all the options and expect delivery in mid March.
I decided to reorder the car as I didnt want to compromise. I'm not sure i made the best choice but it is made now. I'm still really annoyed with the whole thing. I have been told to make a complaint with Ford which i think I'll do as i dont think it the dealser fault.
I was just wandering what people thought and if they had any suggestions.
Many thanks.

If it's not costing anymore then you will be better off because you will have the benefit of the new reg, so I think you have made the right decision.

If you spec. the car you want, then you have the right to get it. You made the right choice (apart from the fact you picked a Ford...
