Can someone tell me what the mailing address is for contacting BT?

Can someone tell me what the mailing address is for contacting BT?

I've just noticed that I've been paying BT twice every month for the past few months and want to write to them regarding this.

I phoned BT a couple of weeks ago and informed them why I was being charged £19 and something via my Halifax Plc DD and I have now just noticed that I am being charged £12.50 via Alliance & Leicester as well. I hadn't checked this account for a while and have only just noticed.

This may be a fault of Halifax Plc as I asked them to switch my all DD’s from A&L and thought they'd sorted these out since I received conformation from them. I'll double check this in the meantime from the letter I received from Halifax informing me of all the switches with regards to Standing Orders & Direct Debits.

I'd prefer to write to them as I wasn't getting anywhere with the operative when I phoned BT.

I've no intention of emailing them as I know that'll have no effect.

Thanks

  • I’ve just checked my Standing Orders & Direct Debits conformation letter from Halifax Plc and have noticed that it says: 12/10/2009 – BT GROUP PLC - £19.50.

I don’t know how I overlooked that. I may have to contact Halifax as well with regards to this error as I think I've been overcharged for that past few months due to this.

The calling plan I’m on is the Unlimited Weekend Plan which I should be paying £11.54 according to my account (which I’ve also just check) as I’ve opted for paperless billing.

And I also have BT Privacy at Home which is free.

I also make the max of 6 calls every quarter to avoid any overcharges as I use 1899 for daytime calls and Primus for Evening and W/E calls.

  • Thanks Donna!

I honestly wasn't getting anywhere when I raised this complaint via phone with BT. I tried my up most to get the guy to explain and he said I was being charged for something or another. I even told him I which call plan I was on and that I should be only paying £11.54 as opted for paperless billing. He still insisted I had to pay BT £19, in the end I had to agree despite this.

Just wish I hadn't overlooked what I posted earlier.
  • Donna, I can't seem to see where it says 'our profile'. I've even checked where it says your profile in my account but there appears to be no contact information there either.

I could PM you via MSE if you wish.

  • I've just double checked my Halifax account statments which states I have been charged £19.50 since October.

    12 Oct 09 DD - Bt Group Plc 19.50

    Hi Lugh_Chronain

Thank you for your email. On checking your BT account I can see that your Monthly Payment Plan direct debit has since been lowered to the minimum of £12.50 per month effective from the 14/12/09.

Also you are in credit to the amount of £19.21 which will go towards on your next bill due on the 22/02/10.

    Regards,
    Jon.

So why has there been £19.50 coming out of the Halifax since October and yet I'm still paying £12.50 from A&L? Have you corrected this?

It's appears to me that there's two DD's running into the same account.

And surely I should be paying £11.54 as I'm supposed to be paperless. I checked this under where it says "Your current Calling Plan is below" after clicking Calling Plan.

Unlimited UK Weekend calls from midnight on Friday to midnight on Sunday. All you pay is £11.54 a month line rental on a 12 month minimum term.
