herbal teething remedy?

My 18 week old baby daughter appears to be teething as she is biting her hands and other people and making painful sounding noises! As she was a premie baby born at 34 weeks she is too yound to hold a teething ring. She does enjoy biting mummys fingers but this hurts :). I'm currently using a half dose of calpol when she gets grouchy (2.5ml) but I have to do this three times a day. Are there any good herbal teething remedies out there?

I used Ashton & Parsons teething powders, they're totally natural and can be accompanied with calpol if needed. For under 6 months you use half a small sachet, over a year the whole sachet.

You just have to try and get the granules onto the tongue, but my daughter absolutely loved the texture! I can't say for anyone else but with all of my sisters children and my own daughter, these powders were a god send.

BTW you can get them from Boots and most pharmacies for about £1.99 for 10.

I'd second that: I used Ashton and Parsons for both my two and they were great.

    Me too!

My aunty gave them to me for my dd (my cousin is 6 months older than my dd) and I was really sceptical, but they really really do work. The main ingredient is camomile which is fantastic for helping them to calm down and settle tummies which often get a bit upset when teething.

I recommend them to EVERYONE now, and have even been known to add a packet in with a baby gift if I know the new parents really well lol
