Stopping Bank Account Fee

Can anyone help... I was fed up with Lloyds and their fees so switched my bank account to Natwest which is running fine. I left Lloyds with my overdraft still to pay (I'm over the o/d limit now with fees etc). I haven't heard from them yet about the court case to tell me they're not giving my any money back but I was wondering, if I write to them regarding re-paying my o/d a bit per month (I can afford about £20p/m), can I request to stop any further charges and also, the £17 a month fee for the account? That's being debited and I don't use the account!
Any advice hugely appreciated!!

Yes of course you can ask ... but whether they agree is an entirely different matter.
But the morale is usually "if you don't ask, you don't get"
What have you got to lose?"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
