Contribution based JSA a Q please

Asking for a friend who has no internet so if I miss anything out I would be happy to find out and add to my post
Hes been claiming contribution based JSA for 13 weeks, owns his own home
Is he able to claim for mortgage intrest payments and if so how please?
He does have his wife that works p/t earning 15k a year with 3 children
Many Thanks

Also if his sister comes to live with him, (she currently lives 100 miles away but wishes to move to look be closer to family) would she be able to claim JSA?
She would be leaving a good job volunterily and would be looking for a job asap
Mad Mum to 3 wonderful children, 2 foster kittens and 2 big fat cats that never made it to a new home!
Aiming to loose 56 pounds this year. Total to date 44.5 pounds 12.5 to go. Slimming World Rocks!

He may be entitled to help with interest payments if he had an underlying entitlement to income based JSA, but it is unlikely with his partners level of income.

How much is the mortgage? How many hours does she work?
    Gone ... or have I?
  • I know shes full time a good 40 hours

They definitely will not qualify if she is full time.

The sister is likely to be sanctioned for up to 26 weeks if she leaves her job without good reason, though she may be able to claim a hardship (reduced) payment for the relevant period.
