You may qualify for Key worker housing also if you look further into buying, you said you were emergency services right?
Aim - BUYING A HOUSE  by November 2013!Saved = 100% on 03/07/12 :j0 -
If you're part of the emergency services (and not a mechanic with the fourth emergency service!) then do check out the key worker housing. Can you be more specific about where you live as this site might be able to provide just the help you need instead of being quite general.
Brilliantly well done on clearing the debt. You're extremely lucky to have the support of family to allow this to happen as having someone move back can be quite a challenge.0 -
Thanks everyone!
To those who have asked, I'd be specifically looking to move to the Brighton/Hove area
sadly, this is quite an expensive area. Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

Im usually 25 a month for electric and my gas was £5 for about 9 months because I wasnt using it until it got really cold

I would agree with the other posts, buying would be a great investment for you (I hear this is the jargon
), plus then you have the security of your own home. I bought mine 3 years ago and although at some points I have hated this place (various problems) I love having my own home now.
Also, well done on getting debt free

Drop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0
