  • Hi,

I am setting up an online car parts company and want talk to car owners clubs and kit car owners clubs in order to offer product discounts for being a member. I have searched and found a few, any suggestions on who might be good to contact. We will be offering Brake Pads, Discs, Exhausts and Catalytic Converters.

    Any links would be appreciated,

    Thanks in advance
  • Cheers Bungle, whats the best route then? Got a good product with a good service but haven't got massive advertising budgets!

If it is that good, see your Bank Manager, they will finance good products as long as you can present a good business plan.

A lot of the decent forums allow traders to advertise on the forum for a small fee. Depends on the make of parts your offering and for what cars, aim at those manufacturers. e.g if you have vauxhall parts aim for the vauxhall forums, astra, corsa, omega, vectra, insignia etc etc there are hundreds.
Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.

thats the risk of setting up a car parts business from scratch - and why you'd need to be very sure of your USP and that it holds water.

I did a google search for brake pads in the uk and it came back with 565,000 entries - thats a lot established companies to compete with.
