Check the terms & conditions for the saver rooms - I think they now say something along the lines of the names of the people staying in the rooms have to match those given at the time of booking.

They do this to prevent people snapping up all the really cheap saver rooms with no intention of staying themselves, but just selling them straight on.

Also bear in mind that it's your details they have so if you sell the room on and the person pretending to be you causes trouble / smashes up the room etc, it's you they'll come after for damages.

It's unfortunate for you but it's aways a judgement call when booking rooms with with Travelodge (and many other hotel chains who have the same room pricing structure) as to whether you should book using an inflexible but cheap saver rate or a fully flexible but more expensive option, and unfortunately this time you went the wrong way.

Hi thanks for your quick reply if ba hadn't canceled my flight and rebooked me on a day later everything would of been fine:mad: but i know what you mean about saver rooms though, i'm hoping i can sell them just want what i paid nothing extra and i just checked and it says on a saver rate room main name cannot be ammended but if someone else is using the room just ring hotel direct to inform them giving new names:confused: so fingers crossed:rolleyes:.

Usually well worth the gamble though ! I have a TL room near Gatwick for £12 - not a lot to lose.

IF you find a buyer, just let them know the 1st line of your address, that is what they will ask from you at reception to confirm you/they were the buyer.
