Hi everyone,
I am new to this site and just looking for a little bit of help. I have been having a read of the info regarding reclaiming bank charges and the recent news on this.
Is it still worth trying to claim these back? As I am not sure, with the recent news.
Also, is it possible to try and claim back fees for late payment on the 'Kay's catalogue?
Any advice would be much appreciated xx

P.s. I have only ever had two charges from Natwest in the past 4 years (where as my fiances amount to several £100s). I just phoned up Natwest as Martin's guide said if you only have one or two charges they sometimes 'let you off', so I asked for my money back. Surprise surprise they said no! They said they are not refunded any charges anymore but I can put it in writing if I want to.
They also informed me that as of this month their charges are reduced from £38 to £5.0 -
Please help! xx0

The best thing to do is to hang fire for MSE to publish their template letters with the new arguments - should be about a week or so.0

Yes, as Alpine says, later in January. Sign up for the MSE newsletter to remind you.
However, you can start to progress with the Kays claim, nothing to stop you there. Please ignore those people who post on this forum who deliberately try to misinform you. Don't be bullied by them, don't be blamed by them. You know who I mean.
You come here for advice, help and support- thats what I and like minded others will try to do.0 -
Thanks! Are their template letters for catalogue claims? Or is it just the same as the bank charges letter templates? x0

Hello again
you will need to issue a SAR (Subject Access Request) letter to Kays and £10 cheque, so you get a full list of all transactions on your account.
You will have to adapt the template for bank charges.
Remember to keep copies of everything.
They might offer you vouchers instead of cash, so you are restricted to spending it with them. Refuse that and stick to 100% of the charges plus interest at 8%- use calculator on site.
You should do a search on this site and the others eg CAG for similar claims to skill you up.
Good luck!!!!Please ignore those people who post on this forum who deliberately try to misinform you. Don't be bullied by them, don't be blamed by them. You know who I mean.
