Best Laptop For £600 Or Under

Hi All,
I know a bit about computers etc but not enough to buy blind lol, my son is looking to start his own buisness and im looking to buy him a laptop not to bothered about the make unless this is a issue however im looking for somthing that can run:
A web browser with multipal tabs
Msn Messenger
Microsoft Media Player
Web Creation Software
all at the same time with out any slow down, extras if possible a dvd rewiter is it possible to find this on a laptop for £600 or under but no more.
