Kettles - latest best buy advice/reviews?

Options
We just spotted last night that our (5 year old) Le Cruset hob top kettle is all rusty inside. Yuk! (Although maybe the extra 'iron' in our tea has done us some good!) So looking for a new kettle and decided to go electric for this one.

Don't suppose anyone has seen any recent best buys articles or reviews/advice anywhere, or know what Which? have been recommending recently on the kettle front?

Thanks

Argos are doing a cordless kettle for £3.24 if you want a kettle just to keep you going until you find exactly what you want. http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4231909/Trail/searchtext%3EKETTLE.htm

A similar thing happened to my Le Creuset kettle.

I cleaned it out with a descaler and that seemed to get rid of some of the rust inside it.
  • Thanks ferretktf, will take a look at them on Amazon.

funny isn't it how in review sections say in Amazon for the same product you get "Wow this is the best kettle ever!' comment, followed by "It leaks/rusts, smells funny, lid opens during boiling and is a health hazard - do not buy this kettle!' comment

    Makes it all very confusing......!

The delonghi argento rated best buy by Which?, Good Housekeeping (thanks for the link clairibel) says it is both the heaviest and noisiest kettle they have come accross.

Tea stops the absorption of iron so wouldn't have done you any good.
We are so lucky up here in Scotland a kettle looks like new inside even if it's years old. I used to hate the state my kettle would get into when I lived in London.
    Booo!!!
