ESA, appeals and Sick notes

I've just received a letter saying I've failed the medical for my ESA. I will be appealing this decision (and have a recording of the medical interview which may prove helpful).
My sick note is due to run out this week. Will I still need to send in sick notes whilst waiting for my appeal?
