It's been ages since I have been on, I got locked out of my other account and the admins couldn't fix it - so I had to open a new account. I was MrsDay2Be...added to that, thanks to !!!!!ing family members, the wedding planning has been a nightmare, EVERYTHING has changed and we've told everyone to get stuffed and we're now getting married in a haunted castle in Scotland!
Sadly, six weeks out from the most important day of my life, I'm still stuck in Sydney waiting for my visa to come through...nightmare! That being said, all good things take time and I suspect my visa will be in the post shortly and I can be back in the UK with Jason who I have not seen for 4 looooooooooong months, it's been hell.
I am desperately trying to find someone who could supply me with the bouquet shown below - I have not managed to find anywhere that can do this for me yet, so, as always fellow MSE brides...suggestions are very welcome.

After my massive disaster with my wedding dress (butchered by a local seamstress recommended by a bridal store after shelling out almost £500 on it - so bad that the fabric was not even salvageable), I am now ordering through Landy Bridal - with sincere thanks to every Bride who has posted her information and her pics on here! Said seamstress/abatoirist is being taken to court to recover money for the dress.
The dress I have ordered from Landy is this one - it does things for my body I never knew were possible, to quote Barbara Steisand "boobs, hips AND legs...who knew?!"

Being a redhead, white was never going to work for me - too many red undertones in my skin, but the second I tried on this dress...well...I knew.
I am looking for a decent ballet shoe supplier in the Uk too if anyone knows any, or even a reliable Ebay one.
Jason and I are now getting married at Comlongon Castle in Scotland on 18th Feb and wearing heels on a possibly icy, uneven castle flooring is a recipe for disaster for someone who is know to all and sundry as a terminal clutz! lol
We were really fortunate to get Comlongon Castle cheaply, £400 for the castle for a 3 hour period on a Thursday - including the ceremony and tea and coffee for the guests - we're only having 25 people so it's no bother to us.
We're having the reception, wedding dinner and drinks at the same place we're staying at before the wedding and for a small honeymoon 'The Old Schoolhouse' in Steilston, Dumfries. Lesley, the owner has been lovely helping us out with plans and answering a miriad of extremely silly questions at truly odd hours! lol
I need to know of any good caterers in the Dumfries area if you know of any, otherwise it will be an M&S MSE wedding...not really that fussed, as long as Jason is there and I'm there, I could care less!
Anyhow, part Bridzilla venting...part question...look forward to hearing from you guys if you have suggestions.

Hey! I'm glad things are working out in the end for you
That dress is STUNNING! I can't believe what that supposed seamstress did to your dress, was it the same one of different? I'm sorry I can't help with the flower but they r really lovely and will go great with the dress! xx 0 -
Thanks Toothfairy - I originally had a Maggie Sottero 'Iliana' and the silly woman did so much damage to the ruching and the boning that it wasn't able to be recovered.
There wasn't even enough un-ruined material to make ties and pocket squares for the boys.
What she sent back to me was horrific, it was so bad that my mother opened it and refused point blank to let me see it! There are two burns in the dress from what looked like a cigarette and the label from the inside of the dress is now missing - I suspect that somewhere down the line, this woman will sell some other poor unsuspecting Aussie bride an 'original' Maggie with my label sewn in it.
Horrific does not come close to covering how I felt - 9 weeks out from the wedding to get that back instead of my gorgeous Maggie, was heartbreaking.
That being said, after hearing my story Lucy at Landy Bridal bent over backwards to make sure I'd get my dress before I left Australia to come back to the UK. They're completing the dress, from design to delivery by the end of January for me and I am thrilled with their service so far - the proof of the pudding is in the eating though, so we shall see what the eventual dress looks like. Strangely enough, I have complete faith that they'll do an outstanding job - how many brides on here have recommended their services.
Failing that - I think I could pull off a Katherin Hepburn/Rita Hayworth look in male tuxedo and fedora for the wedding - as long as we're married, all the rest is icing on our delicious cake!
