Disputing an item on my credit card?

I recently placed an order online, payment being taken from my credit card. I have since tried to view the order status online, but cannot gain access to the account that was set up when placing the order. I haven't been able to contact the company by 'phone and haven't received a reply to my email enquiring about the order. It would appear from the lack of communication (although receiving an automatic order confirmation), that things aren't very promising. Am I allowed to put this item in dispute with my credit card company?

If you have been unable to reach anyone at the company, has the timeline been crossed for the goods to be delivered? With snow chaos these days, there is a good chance that deliveries could have been delayed. Suggestion is to keep trying to reach someone at the company, allow for a reasonable amount of delay and if you still do not receive the goods then raise a dispute with CC.0
