Insomnia! Up since 3.30 but fell asleep at 9.15 last night..and its bloody snowing again. Weather forecast said loads of snow at the weekend, no snow...then they revised it and said no snow and so it snows....

DD2 got A levels today, but not sure how she is going to get there as it is still snowing...I am going to go to the office if it kills me....sick of staring at these four walls and it was nice to get out yesterday.

got loads of work done already this morning.....

read back on last nights chat

at the minute I have checked and the bath RFL doesn't clash with anything so I will do it..may stop over depending on who is doing what and going home when...

Scorgy if you are around you are doing it too.....:rotfl:

Am off to the gym later, but now I am off to make chicken madras in the slow cooker for dinner and attempt to make falafel for lunch....:D

hope you have all been reading your email from martin today.....

    particularly useful for some:

Whether you’re a teenager looking to continue in full time education or an adult wanting to change careers or help with childcare costs there may be a grant to help you fund your learning.
    • Free Laptop & Web Access - Home Access PC/Internet Grant

The government's made a grant of up to £528 available for low income families with children living in England; it's targeted at those without access to the internet.

Depending on your need you can get up to £528 to spend on a computer (laptop, desktop, netbook and one year’s web access). Yet you cannot go anywhere, it's only retailers that operate the scheme, though these include mainstream providers such as Comet, Phones4u and Misco.

      Who is eligible?
      • You need children in years 3 to 9. This will normally mean ages 7 to 14.
      • It’s for families with lower incomes. There are a number of tests for this, generally speaking if your child qualifies for free school meals or you receive income support, income-based JSA, child tax credit plus an income lower than £16,060, it's worth checking out.
While the scheme is targeted at those who either don’t have a computer or don’t have web access, there are only limited checks done on that, though it is important people don’t abuse the system.
How many people can get it?
The scheme is due to run for the next 18 months but there is a maximum of 270,000 grants available, one per household. There are currently no plans to extend it across the rest of the UK.

      How to apply?

Call 0333 200 1004 or check details at Home Access.
      Please spread the word
By definition many of the people who are eligible for this grant won’t be online reading this (though you may be reading with work access), so please help spread the word.

    Morning all

Ruddy freezing here this morning - just started snowing too - only lightly but none forecast here either

No plans for today other than maybe gutting the kitchen for a spring clean (if I can be @rsed). DH started new meds yesterday, needs to up his doseage by 1 a day until he's on 12 a day (along with the other 34 he's currently taking)...first one yesterday knocked him out within about half an hour so I think he's going to be a bit zombiefied for a few days.

We have more than a dump and its still snowing..

had a phone call from a colleague, going to still try and get to the office, its not far and I can't stand staying in anymore.

Lils can't get to college though and do her A level so I will leave Chloe with her and they can go sledging...

DH has just called for an application form - our subsidised net access from DH's work is just about to end to if we can free access for a year it would help us no end.

Thanks for pointing that out Sammy! :j

    Morning all :D

We've had snow here - but the cleaners are already dutifully sweeping it off the pavements! Its still snowing but wont preclude me from running later :)

Feeling very tired again today so will need to watch the sleeping patterns for any signs of overtraining and take a few days off if needs be...

Right off to make a coffee - anyone want one?

Hope the meds go down better today with OH pooky.
