Exactly how much sickness benefit I'll be able to claim following my recent injury which will keep me off work for upwards of 10 weeks?

Once my company sick pay entitlement expires in about 3 weeks time I'll only be entitled to 26 weeks at £100 per week under my company insurance scheme. This is a weekly shortfall of approximately £60 just to live i.e. rent, council tax, food and heating.

I've just been sent a 27 page form to fill out from the DSS which is daunting enough but on top of that I have to attend an interview - with a broken kneecap. Practical lot aren't they?

I'll keep you all posted, watch this space!
