The Boots version does remove eye make up quite efficiently. Thanks for the tip about the Smashbox oil, I'll look out for it on QVC. I don't think you can get Smashbox in the shops.

One thing I would really recommend is the Liz Earle Superskin Concentrate. You just use one or two drops of the oil at night instead of a moisturiser, although you can put moisturiser on top if you choose. It's 100% plant oil, smells gorgeous and is so good for your skin.

I love that, I run out some time ago, its soooooo expensive though isn't it:eek:
  • I had a sniff of the Boots No 7 version the other day and didn't like the smell of it at all. It reminded me of the smell of PVA glue.

They don't have it on QVC. In fact I've had a problem locating it at a decent price. Ended up purchasing some on ebay for a tenner all in, but it's from the States. It does last a long time as I'm only half way through my original bottle. Don't know what I'm going to do after the new bottle has run out. Might just try the OCM as recommended on MSE.

Try DHC or Mac, I doubt you will take to the OCM after a proper face cleansing oil, they don't remove in the same way.

We bought ours about the same time (I though) & mine has run out, I'm must use loads, about 2-3 pumps?

Ahhhhhhhh we are talking about a different product, I was mixing the Sanctuary one up with the No7 one, never tried the No7 one (only the Time delay pot).

The Sanctuary one smells lovely, like LE but even stronger herby smell.

I bought the Tesco Bnatural muslin cloths yesterday (2 for £5.91), they are really nice. Nicer I think than the Liz Earle ones which can be a bit thin.Been using mine for ages, wash them on 60c and I think they are OK. Got so many of them and I haven't had to throw any away. But I will try the Tesco ones.

Is it just me or do others find the Liz earl cloths vary in size & thickness, I have quite a few of them & some are def bigger/thicker than others which seem like think hankies:(

I love LE C&P, The Sanctuary one was ok, the Time Delay one irrates my eyes & the Bnatural makes my face burn red:eek:
Would love to buy the Eve Lom, but it seems such a crazy price for a cleanser:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Like you its oil & muslin in the evening & hot cloth cleanser & muslin in the morning.

You recommended C&P in morn and OIL at night. Works a treat and saves me loads of money with C&P. I'm going to stick with that routine.

I've got some and after trying LG too, I'm not going to bother with primer at all. Of the opinion it just another product the beauty companies have conjured up, so the general public will buy it.

Yes we did and I use 2 pumps.

I don't think the C&P is strong enough to remove full make-up anyway. Not waterproof eyemakeup anyhow.

I love the C&P in the morning, so fresh & its all you need:)

Been looking at that Boots one, loads of reviews from C&P fans who really rate it.
Mind you I've tried others & they are OK, but LE is perfect.

I am currently using the Boots No7 hot cloth cleanser. I love Liz Earle, but had to give this a try, as you get twice as much for about £3 less than LE. It doesn't smell anything like as nice as LE, in fact I find the smell a bit over powering and "perfumy". The consistency is a bit different to LE too, it's more creamy, almost the consistency of a moisturiser. And it would probably be no good for you Mrs E, as you have to avoid using it near your eyes.

However, it does leave my skin feeling very smooth, and it seems to be doing a good job. If money was no object I would still prefer LE, and I will probably still get myself LE as a treat now and then. But for everyday use, I will probably buy the No7 again.

Out of interest, has anyone tried the Soap and Glory hot cloth cleanser? I've heard good things about it.

No I use a cleansing oil in the evening, in the morning I have no makeup to remove so it only skims over the eyes & is not a problem.

My DD is a HUGE S&G fan (got her the hatbox for xmas) I must ask her.

My skin got quite bad last year and I started looking up different face washes. Before then I had used cheap Avon cleansers, or whatever was cheapest in Home Bargains.

I came across Liz Earle the reviews were great but it was a bit out of my price range. I also didn't want my skin to get used to something so expensive.

I decided to go for The Santuary's Hot Cloth Cleanser. I really like this, it removes waterproof mascara well and improved my skin a hell of a lot. I used this for around 6 months. When my last tube ran out I went to order some more online but it was no longer on 3-for-2. Instead I bought Soap and Glory's hot cloth cleanser, and the Bnaturals one.

I am pretty impressed with the one with Tesco, it smells okay and is cheap. It doesn't remove mascara very well though, but it's really cheap, half the price of the Santuary one. I've been using it for a while but not sure if I should maybe stop. I always put it on the front of my left hand and then apply with the finger tips of my right hand. In the last few days I've found it has started to leave a rash on my hand, not itchy or sore but that can't be good.

I've only used the S&G one a couple of times, as it does work out more expensive than the Bnaturals, but on the occasions I have used it I have been very impressed. It tingles when on the face which the others haven't done but I like that, it makes my face feel fresh and clean.

I think I like the Santuary one best, but there isn't much difference between the three I have tried, and they all seem to leave my skin in good condition.

I've written reviews of all three on dooyoo if anyones interested.
