Good luck, Noodles :T - would love to join you, but only started a spending diary this month (keeping to as "normal" a pattern as possible, i.e. not "not spending" for the sake of the diary
) in an effort to see where our money goes. Horrified to find out that I have only had one no-spend day this month... I had no idea that we spent so much with so little thought!!!
I think my first aim has to be 1 no-spend day per week, and then two, and then three, etc, etc...but I wish you luck with a whole week. It sounds like you are pretty set up for food - and don't worry about strange food combos...I maintain that some of the best dishes come about by combining things in desparation
(or maybe thats just me?!
).

Hmm... ok I got collared this morning to donate some money as a leaving present for a work colleague. I gave £2, which I'd intended to do yeserday and forgot. So that doesn't count does it, can everyone please assume i gave it yesterday. Thanks.
I'm getting dragged out on the leaving do too by a mate, who has said he'll take pity on me and buy me one drink. He knows about the no spend week.
My last problem, is I have a bike to sell and I want to stick it on ebay, but... it costs money to sell on ebay! Am I allowed to do this or shall I just advertise it in free places - and anyone got any ideas for places to advertise it? Or anyone in Wiltshire wanna buy a ladies virtually new bike for £50? lolPay off CC debt by Xmas 2017 #095 £0 of £11,416 :eek:0 -
technically (sorry poor spelling) you only spend on ebay when your fee's go out (if that makes sense) so i wouldnt really count listing your bike as a spend untill then
i have no ideas where you could advertise i have a brand new bike myself sat under my stairs (bought last october on cc never used still has packaging etc on it) doubt very much i could get halfords to take it back now even more so as its an odd sized frame and they had to order it in for me (im too tall for kids too short for regular adults)
if you do find any good ways of advertising yours please let me know, also is it possible to send a bike if its sold on ebay or do you think its a local collection thing.DFW nerd club number 039'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts' :money: i will be debt free aug 2010

I think I will stick mine on ebay then this weekend and put local collection only. Maybe £10 starting bid. You could always enquire with your local couriers for yours to see if they would deliver it and for how much?Pay off CC debt by Xmas 2017 #095 £0 of £11,416 :eek:0

I did it, survived day 1. lol Kinda pathetic really. It was really tough though, I really wanted to go out with my work colleagues as we're a tiny close department, and it was a guy's leaving do and lots of people couldn't make it. A mate offered to buy me a drink if I went out for one, but he seemed less convinced as the day went on and I felt more guilty about the idea (I think his girlfriend would have got funny with him to be honest) so I didn't go out.
I made flapjacks with chocolate chips in (which melted - doh!), had a nice half bottle of red wine and a microwaved curry which was my Friday night treat and I'm looking forward to a long lie in tomorrow and then some sunbathing.
Life is tough.
The bloke desperately wanted to come see me this weekend and vice versa but we both couldn't afford the £80 it'd cost him in petrol so we're being good and spending the weekend in contact via messenger instead.
That's the only downside really.
I actually think I might do this!Pay off CC debt by Xmas 2017 #095 £0 of £11,416 :eek:0 -
Go noodles! You CAN do this!
I agree with fizzel81...your EBAY fees won't count as you haven't got to pay the bill for fees yet.
As an idea though, you could see if you can put an ad for free on a local forum?Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
