No spend week?

I am fighting to get back out my overdraft (went in by £140 as I thought I was getting paid my backpay this month but wasn't, it will be paid next month).
I'm now trying desperately to stay out of my overdraft, before I even get my backpay, then it can go towards my debts, not my O/D.
I've spent £30 of my monthly budget already this month (got paid on the 23rd) which is LOADS so I want to spend nothing until July 8th now, as I think I just about have enough food in (maybe I'll run out of milk and bread though).
Wish me luck!
Anyone wanna join me?
Also, bloke is away this weekend/week so I have to fight the urge to comfort/boredom shop!

I can barely manage a no spend day let alone week! :rotfl:
Good luck though! :beer:0 -
Good luck noodles! RE; weekend without fella: Arm yourself with books (borrowed from friends or library) and videos or DVDs (ditto) and maybe get a friend or relative around for the evening....get them to bring some wine
Spring clean the house/flat...wash your curtains..I dunno, match all the clothes you have in ready-to-go-outfits in your wardrobe...anything to stop you going out spending money!
I'd absolutely love to join you for a no spend week but I have to spend on bus fare fairly regularly so I'd fail...plus top up mid week fresh vegetable shops and stuff like that.
It's a great idea though and I really wish you well. :beer:Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

I am fairly set for the weekend - making flapjacks, got wedding stuff to make (starting on the table plan and decorating candles) and I have a posh camera I need to learn how to use as bloke wants me to help him with his wedding and portrait photography business.
Gonna go for a walk along the river as it's gonna be fab weather, I have a couple of bottles of wine in, not much chocolate but trying to quit lol.
Might try and cook some other random stuff too.
Also need to clean out the pet rats this weekend, which will take up all of Sunday in itself.
Bloke has lent me series 2 of 24, so could just watch that all weekend. Also got three films to watch from a free dvd trial.
Just feel myself "wanting" to buy stuff for no real reason... it's weird.
Gonna try and plan my meals so i don't get bored/hungry and head to the shops.Pay off CC debt by Xmas 2017 #095 £0 of £11,416 :eek:0 -
Good luck 8pnoodles!
Can I join in too? I have to buy bread & milk too but if I buy them tomorrow I should be ok for food for the week
Have only spent 89p since Monday this week & 3 no spend days but I've never managed a week before, so it will be a challenge!
It sounds like you have lots of things to keep you busy so hope the week flies by!0 -

Maybe you could pin a big sign to the inside of the front door saying
"You knew this would happen! DON'T SPEND ANY MONEY! YOU ARE BETTER THAN YOUR FICKLE SPENDING SHOULDER DEVIL"
....or something....
But you sound pretty sorted anyway....be strong!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Trying to work out if a loaf of bread that's in the freezer will see me through tomorrow and all of next week's lunches. Think I might be ok.
I'm gonna dig through and try and make marmite rolls too for snacks (shortcrust pastry and then marmite shread onto it and rolled up and cut into small pieces).
I have three yoghurts to last me through next week and maybe three bananas so my lunches are ok. I have loads of cereal but milk is a bit of a worry.
And my main meals - I have looooooads of stuff, will be sorted!
And half a bar of chocolate is in the fridge. I have 5 eggs, a new block of cheese, tins of tuna, 2 chicken breasts, pasta and rice (gonna make a risotto), bacon, burgers, waffles, oven chips, and in the freezer one portion of fish cakes left over from what I made this week. And there's only me! the rats have loads of food so will be fine too.
So I THINK I've worked out that aside from the milk situation, this is doable. If I run out of milk, I'm not sure, I could have scrambled eggs for one breakfast. Maybe two? Toast if I have any bread left.
I think I might end up eating some really weird food combinations... will keep you all posted! It's too hot to eat anyway.Pay off CC debt by Xmas 2017 #095 £0 of £11,416 :eek:0 -

lol when I skim read your post I initially thought you meant pin a sign to me telling shops not to sell me stuff! Now, that would work! People could wear t shirts with their current debt levels on to walk around in, asking shops not to sell them stuff. lol
"Please don't sell me anything I owe £5950 and I only have an income of £17k".
lololololol
