Anybody bought a ps3 or xbox off ebay?

I would also say that I would not recommend buying a second hand console off eBay for the reasons stated above.

I have both consoles , the Xbox for a year and the PS3 for about 3 months. I prefer the PS3 but don't play online on the Xbox any more as I have MW2 for the PS3.

Having said that, Xboxes are the cheapest of the current consoles around at the moment, but if you are on a budget, remember that the expense doesn't end with buying the console. The games and extra controllers all cost a bit as well.

But I agree with others. I'd rather go without than risk an ebay console purchase.

Yes I want to play games too, my daughter brought the sims and installed it on my laptop and it messed it up so I want her to be able to play here as well as her wii at home with her dad.

Will look at house of fraser first. Not really interested in playing online as it will cost more money.
