I am in the process of buying all the bits and pieces for a new bathroom. I like these taps http://www.taps4less.com/Monet.html and noticed there are two options; ceramic valves and standard valves. Can you tell me in which cases I would buy which type? Is one for a steel bath perhaps and one for acrylic? I have no idea.... Thanks!

The cheap ones have normal taps washers, and the others cermanic disc as stated, they will both fit all types of baths.
  • Just to add:

The ceramic valve taps will go from off to fully open in about a ¼ of a turn….so if you have high water pressure the taps could be quite fierce!.... a lot of people don’t like this!
