August 2007 - too early for a good deal???

Hi

I've been searching for a holiday for August 2007 but am finding that places like lastminute, expedia, travelocity etc don't go that far ahead yet, and the other bargain/direct/tour operator websites are bringing up a minimum of £3200 for 4 adults and 2 children in august, with very little choice. I was hoping to get it cheaper than this - so i'm wondering if i should wait, and if so, how long?!

I did post a breakdown in travelmans thread but didn't get any response as yet.

Any thoughts gratefully received!

Cheers

Chris

Chris I would leave it at least until the summer flights by the budgets are out (around NOV/DEC) most hotel sites dont even have a full listing yet and packages are going to be expensive
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel

travel agents would say they and as TravelMan said free child places are a myth..TA's want you to book ASAP because they know if you walk out the door your less likely to return.
