We travelled on the Belfast Liverpool ferry quite a few times 2 years ago and couldn't rate it highly enough! Very clean, they fed us dinner & breakfast & we had a cabin to sleep in, complete with shower & loo - probably best to do the night crossings, although they are more expensive (but it gets you there nice & early in the morning and refreshed ready to start your day). Quite a difference from the ferries twenty years ago.

were do u get £200 i was pricing it for 2nd july and getting £500+

Yep your right I took it as return price, it was £200 single:eek: for 4 adults £170 for 2 adults and 2 kids, still not great:o

Probably better getting a cheap sleazyjet flight and hire a car, less hassle and hell of a lot quicker:o
I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:

Check out Dublin-Holyhead sailings too, its a more regular and shorter crossing, prices should be lower too. The road to Dublin is vastly improved and the Holyhead to Liverpool road is not too bad on the other side:T

It really annoys me that you can get a Dover to france sailing for a few quid and at present they give you a case of wine free too:eek: Yet crossing the Irish sea costs an arm and a leg:mad:

Yes, the Dublin Port tunnel is fantastic. We got from Belfast to Dun Laoghaire Port in 2hrs 10 minutes using the tunnel. It was sunday traffic and the toll is cheaper on the weekends too. We could only get the slow ferry from Holyhead - Dublin, it was good but not worth an extra hour on our sailing time IMHO.
