    (1) Cash and liquid resources include cash at bank and in hand and deposits held at call with banks. Of our cash and liquid resources of £116.6 million as at 30 September 2009, as adjusted to give effect to the offering of the Notes and the application of proceeds therefrom, we may, without restriction, make a distribution or loan of up to £70.0 million to our immediate parent company, Red Football Joint Venture Limited, that may, in turn, use the proceeds of that loan for general corporate purposes, including repaying existing indebtedness. £70 million paid out in interest last year alone on the £690 million debt they have.

You would have to be a fool or money to waste to invest in football club these days.

Especially when so many of their rivals are over taking them on the field of play, the muppets even got stuffed at home by a team playing in the third tier a couple of weeks back.

They wont go bust but they have without a doubt seen their best days.

Alan Sugar once said that the only way to come out of a football club with a million pounds is to have gone in with two million in the first place. (not word for word but I cant be bothered to google it.... although by the time I typed this i could have done ;) )

Come on Reading. 2-1 to them against Liverpool in the FA Cup extra time.

I think Billy's retired now. And only ever played for West Ham?

The only thing worth buying at the three sided Boundary Park is the pies!

    Leeds want Chris Taylor apparently!

    As for Billy Bonds...

He is spot on- on this occasion. Football clubs shouldn't really make huge profits year to year. Most fans prefer slight profit, with the remainder reinvested in player, grounds, academies.

It wouldn't take a lot for the house of cards to come down, and people need to be savvy in football. Football isn't a normal business because community and emotion comes too much into it.

Good player when fit. Usually scores at Elland Road too!

(Goes down a bit easily though).
