Tattoo cover up?

Hi all am hoping someone can help me I have a tattoo on my arm which I would like to cover up for my wedding. We only got engaged last month and haven't even set a date yet but i'm worried the tattoo will just look awful with my dress! does anyone know anything about where I could buy special cover-up make up and learn how to put it on? x

The only thing I can think of is the special make-up you get to cover birth marks? Most of the brands do their own version, here are some links:

    MAC
    Estee Lauder

Is the tattoo coloured or just black?
MAC one states that it covers tattoos! I have it (just to use as a normal concealer for spots) and its really good.

Have you decided on a dress yet? If you're going for a strapless number then maybe a bolero may be easier than trying to cover it up. If you are getting a make up artist to do you on the day, ask if they can advise on covering it up as they will have the correct make up.
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:

going dress shopping at end of Jan so excited! I want a strapless one but we are planning for winter wedding so probably will look into a bolero or cape style cover up as well but I would like the option of taking it off if I wanted to. haven't even thought about my make up in general was so worried about my big ugly tattoo hadnt even got round to worrying about my face lol x
  • A Make up artist would be able to cover it up for you, (theatrical make-up works a treat on Tattoo) It will wear off on clothes, but will last longer than regular make-up.

    Good Luck x
I am pleased to give hairdressing help or advice, but a thank you doesn't go a miss.

I am an October bride and having a beautiful jacket made to go over my strapless dress for the day, I have a tattoo on my shoulder and if it gets seen later on if the jacket comes off, I will be far too merry to worry :D

I was looking at white fur cape sort of thing that just wrap around (not very good with descriptions!) but I don't think this will come high enough up my arm to cover it so will probably look into having a jacket made. cant wait to go dress shopping then hopefully ill have a better idea of what I want/need! x

Yeah I've heard that it's more painful than actually getting the tattoo done and it takes about 6 sessions to dissapear.

I have this to contend with with my wedding dress....

If it's a winter wedding, I'd presonally go for a cape or bolero.
