Hi All
Quick question.
I bought a sale item from a UK shop with an online store yesterday (at the time of ordering it stated that 5 units were in stock).
Payment was taken from my card and I received the confirmation email etc etc.
Today I have received an email from the shop saying that "Due to demand and the special offer price only being applied to a few products we are no longer able to supply the item to you. A refund has been made to your card".
I have checked on the shop and the item is still in stock, but the price has increased to double the price I originally paid.
To my eyes when they accepted payment for the product and confirmed by email they have concluded the contract and are obliged to supply the item to me.
Is this correct?
Thanks

You need to check the website terms and conditions - most webstores state that a contract only exists once they have sent out your order. Not sure where this stands though as they took your money but as they have now refunded, I don't think you can actually make them send the goods at the price you wanted - sorry!0
