this is incredibly vague, so i will try and guess what you mean.

I am assuming you are using a wireless router to connect to the internet using your laptops built in wireless access?

If not, then you have nothing to worry about, because unless you are using your wireless card (in your laptop) to connect to another device (such as a wireless router) there are no security issues.

Okay, if you want to secure the connection between your laptop and your wireless router go onto internet explorer and type http://192.168.1.1 (or whatever your routers default access ip is - check your routers manual) a box will pop up asking for your username and password (the ones you set when setting up your router)

Once you log onto your router find the security options, and you want to activate your wireless network key (WEP) this allows you to set a password so that whenever somebody tries to connect to your wireless network they must enter a password. This will be the easiest way to secure your wireless network.

tried to type that web page in but it won't access it, think it may be easiest just to rink Belkin and get them to do it for me

The web config pages for Belkin routers is usually http://192.168.2.1 <-- click this link in Internet Explorer. Set up wireless security from your wired connection and follow the advice in your other thread.
