Mobile phone contract when BR

No you're quite right and I'm going to call and cancel the order.
Thanks all for your input.0 -
I did the same thing myself. The same month of my BR I renewed and upgraded my mobile account for 18 months and got a shiny new blackberry. I didn't even think of it as a credit agreement and it wasn't until a few months later that I realised I had obtained credit over £500 without informing them of my BR. I kept quiet about it (I had obviously signed the agreement post BR so knew it couldn't go into my BR anyway and by that time I had paid enough to be under the £500 threshold so didn't see what benefit it would serve to tell them). Thankfully the 18 month contract is over and I paid in full monthly as agreed.

No need to cancel just inform them of your bankruptcy....IF they still say you can have the contract and you can afford the payments then stick with it..it'll come in handy with your credit files later down the lineWe all die. It's easy done, it was only as an afterthought did I think it could be a credit agreement.
Phil, I did think about calling them to inform them I am bankrupt but think the only reason I got the contract was that I'm now divorced post BR (new surname) and change of address which could be why I didn't fail their credit checks.
I also don't want to put a bad debt flag on this address or my maiden name0 -
I am fascinated who gave you the phone?? was it a network provider or a third party sign up??0
