Disturbing trend in admin fees...

I haven't moved house for a good 3 or four years but I am about to and was somewhat stunned by the estate agent fees. I've been through an estate agent before prior to living at this address but can't recall a fee. The going rate seems to be around £200. When I've had a look online it brings up threads here and elsewhere…

Here we go again, I get this profound insight, I understand it. I participate in this everytime I go to the shop or do pretty much anything! I can however see no problem with pointing out that £200 for a credit check and an inventory seems a ridiculous mark up. And they can choose to ignore it, or not.

Its just the usual concern that if they all do it tenants are screwed.

I cannot find any threads about renting with a default, the only thread I could find was one about someone with a CCJ. Can someone post a link to this please?
