EU students (but not English or Welsh) can also get the same as the Scots if they go to a university in scotland.

OK I checked on this and this was introduced when tuition fees were increased for about £1300 a year to over £3000 a year, between 1997 and that happening English students studying in Scotland had to pay tuition fees (so a lot of English students studying in Scotland paid tuition fees while Scottish students got free tuition.)

Saying 'look it up yourself' doesn't hold a great deal of water either.

Well since you want exact figures and I didn't have time to look them up myself because of a slow internet connection I thought I'd tell you how you could find the figures yourself.

I take it that's a 'no' when pushed for evidence?
Anecdotal stories don't really count for much. Saying 'look it up yourself' doesn't hold a great deal of water either.

This student loan thread has got all the nutters out!! Loving it.

How does being drunk help you pass? Study instead.
Do students have to be drunk to relax? Go for a walk or relax with friends.
Drunken idiots have no business stealing the privelige of university from someone else.

Does it matter? In the context of a discussion about student debt, then yes, it does. I work full time and can afford to spend £10 in the pub maybe once a fortnight. If I decided to borrow money to get drunk, then demanded less than zero per cent interest rates for that borrowing, people would quite rightly tell me to get lost. Grow up and take some responsibility as an adult.

I stopped reading right there. Take responsibility? LOL that's a laugh. In comparison to 50% of the UK popualtion who FAIL school at GCSE, I think I got something right by keeping my head down, minding my own business and studied.

As for my finances, they are fine. I save where I can and stay away from debt (apart from income assessed loans that will hardly be paid back, seeing as that is what i signed for).

Did I say all students get drunk? Forget it I'm not going to have a conversation with someone who has an IQ of a gold fish.

    could of anyone?

I wouldn't go insulting other people's intelligence if you can't even use your native language properly. :)
    From Poland...with love.

    Their
books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.

:rotfl:Looks like you just pawned yourself my slavic friend. Where would you insert that 'could of' phrase in my passage?

Back to those 'cutting edge' books I think.

Well the polski poster above quoted the wrong post :j.

(It was also put in brackets on purpose.)

Anyway, to the op, I would just leave it. Chances are, unless you are a very high earner, you will hardly pay anything back.

No problem, I'm not in any rush, just post when you have the time from a more suitable Internet connection.

Civility costs nothing PSB. Try it. It might make you feel less antagonistic. Good luck.
