Credit Card Settlement - Help!

Hi,
Has anyone any advice on settling credit card debt for less than the amount owed. I have come into some money and would like to pay my cards off - not sure what to do. Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks Angie

They are extremely unlikely (actually, this is an understatement) to take a low settlement. The only way you can do this is to have not paid for several months, defaulted, trashed your credit rating for 6 years to come and been passed to debt collectors who might take a reduced settlement.
