Cleaning Newly laid tiles

Hi there, husband has just tiled our whole bathroom. The walls tiles are white matt. We seem to have quite a lot of dust over them left over from grouting. Can anyone recommend something that I can clean them with. They feel rough when I try to use a sponge on them but should I just keep going - don't want to scratch them.
thanks :confused::confused:

    Hi, the dust from the grout can be wiped away with a dry cloth. If you have lumps of grout left then you will have to use a warm soapy cloth and a little elbow grease. As long as you use a soft cloth, you will not scratch them. Hopefully others may have helpful ideas. Hth.

    It is the lumps that are the problem. But you think just soapy water would do it. Many thanks, will give it a go.

    I would be persistent with it. You may need to give it a bit of help with your fingernails, but serious elbow grease should do it. Don't use anything like Cif as it will scratch.

    I've removed lumpy grout with an old credit card, using it as a scraper
