Easyjet cancelled flights

Had flights booked to go to Venice on Friday 22nd January, on the 7th December Easyjet cancelled the flight as they are not flying out of East Midlands airport anymore. Said I could have refund or alternative flights with BMI Baby. Chose option on their website of flights with BMI and was told I would hear within 10 working day. On the 10th working day Easyjet rang me to say the form I submitted never got to BMI as they were given the wrong email address for BMI!!!! So had to go through resubmitting the form over the phone on the 17th December and was told I would hear within 10 working days. I have still not heard back from them. Sent them an email last Friday 8th and heard nowt as yet.
Had to resort to buying alternative flights for £110 more.

At the end of October I booked return flights on Easyjet from Bristol to
Venice next May. Last week I received an email from Easyjet, saying the
flights have been cancelled. No explanation was given, but I understand the airline has decided to withdraw the route altogether, No flights on that route now show on their website for the whole of 2010
The email offered me the option of a refund or (quote) "a free transfer to another flight on the same route within 30 days of the original flight date."
As I have already paid for accommodation, I opted for the flight change.
However, when I followed the intructions on the Easyjet website, all I could come up after several attempts with was a message saying no alternatives were available. No flights on that route were showing on the Easyjet website for the whole year. A quick session online showed other flights were in fact available on the same route on the same dates, so I booked on another airline - at a considerably higher fare.
Do I have any chance of getting my extra costs back from Easyjet? They only reply to emails with an automated message basically saying 'get lost': therei s no postal address listed on their website, and I am reluctant to risk mybank balance and my blood pressure calling a premium rate "helpline".0 -
I never did get a response to my email, they're a complete shower in my opinion.0
