Kitchen Doors

Im in the process of selling my house and i have been advised to change the doors on the kitchen to make it look a bit brighter.

Ive looked over B+Q, Ikea, Wickes etc but wondered if anyone knew of anywhere where i could get some cheap white gloss doors.

thanks for any help

there used to be a chap on ebay selling end of line doors, for a 5/10 quid each.

  • Hiya, I would advise painting them if they are wood.
When I moved into this house the kitchen was dark pine and it really made it dark in there. I used off white paint on the doors and did the moulding in dark olive and added new handles and it's like a new kitchen. If you use a good quality paint you can get a great finish. I used chalk paint from Annie Sloan (google it) which is pricey BUT you don't need to sand or prime and it will stick to most things. Then I gave it a couple of coats of her wax. If I can work out how to post pics I'll put them on.

  • thanks for the advice, seems paintng might be worth a go.

Ive ordered a 100ml pot of the Annie Sloan Paint to see how it goes.

Was one coat enough or did it need more for the dark pine as my kitchen is fairly dark?
