OK I decided to call the debt collection agency. Told them I'd been sending mail back to them but they kept sending it. They asked for a reference number, I said "wait I'll just open the most recent post" (so they can't blame me for opening it!) and gave them the details. They said they'd update their records, lets see if it works...For every complex problem there is an answer that is clear, simple and wrong.0

Excellent, it'll probably do it TBH. Next they'll sell the debt to someone else and they'll be posting stuff instead!!

Do you honestly think anyone will give a toss about opening up chasing letters in someone elses name with the sole intention of trying to inform the compnay of their inaccurate data? And that this person will somehow how the notion to go to court? Seriously, nothing will come from opening them up, unless you were foolish enough to pretend to be the account holder or something equally dense0
