I'm glad I'm not the only one bored of all the usual tat!

Tescos often have some good stuff when they sell off their £1 lines down to 10p.

Love the cone of sweets and bubble bath ideas too -

Personally I think it's better to buy one decent thing and a pack of sweets rather thatn the tat that just gets left lying all over the bedroom floor!
99p and poundland have some good bits.

Ds birthday end of March, so when he's at the party age going to do easter eggs!

hi for my sons last birthday got some clear plastic cones from ebay (very cheap) printed a personalised message and slipped it inside and filled with lots of different sweets. then tied with ribbon at the top. got lots of comments asking where they were from.

The cones sound lovely and so unique. Great tip-thanks!

DS is 10 in March, planning a 2-hour Pizza Hut party where they make their own pizzas and may get an entertainer in for the last hour to liven things up.

I love the idea of Plastic cones with sweeties. I looked on ebay, the ones I see don't have lids I think they are meant to be cups.

How does this work? Please advice.
  • hi.
Try ebay ~ (WHOLE SALES AND JOB LOTS)
I got enough bits and bobs to make great over filled party bags 5xover for less then you would in the shops
box of 20,Bubbles, (peppa pig) £2. free p&p.
    20 x yo,yo's. (peppa pig) £1.80. free p&p.
    15 x purse's. (peppa pig) £2. free p&p.
There are loads of diffrent ones not only peppa pig.
I also was looking at ben10 thing's- Small note pads 20 =£2. You could buy sum pencils, rubbers, etc for really cheap, but the party bags will look great.
    Hope this helps! x

For my sons party bags I've just bought loads of small soft footballs from Asda, 25p reduced from £1 and packs of 4 playdough for £2.

I did have a look at the 20 packs for £5 offer eslick said they had in Asda but I think that might be online only...instore it was 12 for £5. Decided against those when I saw the footballs!

Don't know if you have your actual party bags yet but I picked up some Noddy ones in Homebargains for 19p for a pack of 8. Did have others but can't remember what they were!
