have a look at the asda party isle they normally have these sorts of things really cheap in packs of 3s or more.
Just checked online and they have them therem, 20 packs for a fiver, 1 to 6 items in a pack

We got a pack of 10 books/£10 from the bookpeople and gave each child one.
How about something like this:http://www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CatalogSearchResultView?storeId=10001&catalogId=10051&langId=100&pageSize=10&beginIndex=0&searchScope=SimpleSearch&resultType=2&resultCatEntryType=1&catgrpSchemaType=2&vipStatus=&fromPage=basicSearch&layout=oneColumn&pageNumber=&pageSizeOption=10&format=&sortOption=DEFAULT&ageRange=3&onlySets=false&categoryName=Children%27s+Fiction&categoryPath=%2F48107%2F59618&categoryId=48107&luceneSearchType=CATEGORY&searchTerm=The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0 -
How about personalised chocolate bars? I did Ben 10 ones for my sons 5th birthday last year and my friend was so impressed she bought me the chocolate bars to do them for her sons party and then forgot to give them out:mad:. Pm me if you want more details of how to do them - dont buy them from ebay they are too expensive - all you need is cut and paste, excel and a bit of double sided tape.
Have a look in Home Bargains they have stacks of party bag fillers in at the moment (think a lot is ex Woolworths). Do you have girls coming as they had hair accessories for 10p a packet, a pack of two polly pocket books for 29p (instead of £4.99).
How about wrapping up an annual from either Poundland or Homebargains if the party is quite soon.
At the moment my sons 6th birthday party bags for March have:
Boys
Spinning top (10p for six at Homebargains)
Noddy bubbles (19p for six at Homebargains) Relabelled them with whatever theme he wants
Small lego set (free with the Mirror but I paid £5.00 for 29 sets at a table top sale)
Possibly water pistols (large ones from Woolworths - £1.00 for a pack of 4)
Possibly top trump type card game again from Woolworths 15p a pack but the boys may still be a little young for these.
Girls
Polly pocket books (29p for two at Homebargains)
Hair bobbles (10p a set)
Purse (10p each at Wilko sale last Christmas)
Personalised chocolate bar (Kitkat works well as the label comes off and you have silver foil underneath)
Whatever sweets are on offer at the time.
I always think party bags are a complete waste of money and say I wont do them again but I always do. I do think that a book is a very good idea.0 -

Theres method in my madness
http://www.lloydspharmacy.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/TopCategoriesDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=90&catalogId=1008&homePage=
LLoyds chemist has a upto 75% sale off, if you into kids and teens section, few different sections great items for party bags
Girls -
Disney Princess Stationary set 75p instead of £3.00
Hannanh Montana colour in door thingies - 75p
Theres gd boys + girls things and with it being a gd item, you don't need to put anything else with it.
or
www.halfcost.com
Have a look in the £1.00 section,
if you use discount code FF15 - gets 10% off the order.
The last 2yrs dd had a party at a sports hall, had the whole class, the 1st yr got girls Head backpack - £1.00, boys Hulk pump bag and wallet £1.00
Last yr - hit LLoyds sale got stuff 75p, boys had a spy kit, girls couple of girlie things less than £1.00 bag.
Halfcost is hit and miss, but both def worth a try, I worked out by the time I'd put ballon, and 4 or 5 bits and pieces, didn't look much, so the one gift went down an absolute treat.
Think Half cost - still got swimming bags £1.00 each got some b4 xmas - on dds school pta buy presents under £1.00 for kids in KS1 and nursery, just hit half cost, kids loved them.
Good luck xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Instead of party bags I gave out punch balloons filled with few grains of rice. Got them really cheap off ebay and they were very popular and the kids thought they were better than party bags.0
