if we are not living together/co habitating in the same property the we cannot be labelled as man and wife, regardeless if we sleep in the same bed sometimes, if that is your meaning
Your wrong, you can have separate households and still be LAHAW.
see
http://www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/ch11-23254.pdf
which states :
The
characteristics of the relationship of husband and wife may include1• mutual love• faithfulness• public acknowledgement• sexual relations• shared surname• children• endurance
• stability• interdependence• devotion.
I would clarify it.

sorry, i cant see where i said that i was engaged ?
if you have friends that have been BF/GF for how ever many years, it matters not, if they are not married then they are single.
.
Dont be so ridiculous.
For child tax credit reasons, housing benefit etc, she has to declare the income of her partner otherwise it would be benefit fraud.
They are boyfriend and girlfriend, not man and wife. They are definitely not single because they are not married:rolleyes:
Why are there so many cases of single parent benefit fraud then?
Sorry, i have heard it all now. Do you really believe this?0 -

THe DWP decide what level of benefits you get, and is a government department.
I am not going so far as to say you are committing fraud, as I don't know enough about your circs.
I would however say that from what you posted there would appear a huge question mark about your single status and hence the level of benefits you have got/getting.
I would ask for a review before a)someone reports you b) they look into your circs themselves.
