Free One Day Festy!

On Saturday 8 July there is a free music festival Rise: United London taking place in Finsbury Park, London to celebrate London's diversity and oppose racism.

Acts confirmed include Killa Kela, Sway, Roy Ayers, Graham Coxon, Buzzcocks, The Wailers, Mentor Kolectiv, Common, The Duke Spirit and DJ Kayper.

There's also a comedy tent with comedians including Ninia Benjamin, Tony Hendriks, Shazia Mirza and Zoe Lyons.

If you're taking the kids, the childrens play area and fair ground should keep them entertained.

Should be a good free day of fun!

I will be in London that weekend so I might go. I wonder if I can take my dog? I cant find anything on the site where I could find out?

Big public events aren't really the right place for dogs. It's not advisable to take them, especially if it's a hot day and the animal is likely to be excited. This will only be exacerbated by the noise and large numbers of people.

The Eevent - Southwark Park, Surrey Quays, London, SE16

London's largest community based music event is now in its 8th year.!
It a fantastic fun-filled family day out, with loads of things to amuse, entertain and enjoy from age 6 to 60. There is a Dog Show as well.!!

croydon summer fesitval - two days of world music headliners include De La Soul and OJOS DE BRUJO who I went to see at thier barbican gig earlier this year - its was sold out and cost me £25 for the ticket so to see them FREE is a real bargin.
