Pap, I didn't know you'd started running, well done!
Pepe, did you know you're in the latest Terry Pratchet book?!
Snaggles, sorry you're feeling down *hugs*Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
I am lurking as usual. Good to see you back Ames - you were missed, and we were all worried about you getting back cos of the weather. Sounds as though you had a good time. Pap well done on the Race for Life - you go girl ! Snags - sorry honey - hugs. Maybe chat on MSN later ? I've got to take dog out - been stuck in waiting for Cavity Wall insulation firm but they've just rung and said they can't make it today

Thanks - Elli, I'll be on MSN this evening I should think. If not, it might be because I'm trying to stay offline, but it's very definitely not you I'm avoiding. x"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Yes, have done a few now, and they are not only pretty huge, but filled with lots and lots of walkers. You could walk the whole thing and not feel remotely out of place - many MANY people do. If you fancy giving running a try, it's not a bad place to start because there's no pressure at all.
Time-wise, it only really makes a difference on a hot day, but saying that, the one I did with Sammy was a morning start, and it was ridiculously hot anyway.
It will be the cost of the trains/hotel that will be the deciding factor, but if I can be there, I will.
Your sig is very relevant to me today. I found out something that completely knocked me sideways and made me feel like all the hard work I've done to try to get back on my feet this last year has been wiped out in the space of a few seconds. I'm sure I will get over it but right now I feel like my heart has been ripped out. I will try to remember your sig though.
Ahh Thats good then because I may still be at the run/walk stage :rotfl: I think relaxed will be what I needAhhh i was thinking about teh early one but maybe the later one is better... I wont book untill maybe the end of January so we/I will decide then
Oh yes my sig has to be one of the better quotes I have found. It helped me when I was having a wobble with CD. I must admit I now take every new day as a fresh start with everything and I feel more positive doing soIts a good day out but it is expensive for a 5k in effect. Atmosphere is great although it is sad too as people have their reasons for running, often in memory of a family/friend member who has died. I will try and come and do it with you, but will have to wait until the end of the month to let you know
Ummm I was thinking that but then I suppose some will go to the charity tooMy main reason is because I thought I could never do it ever. In my secondry school I dreaded cross country and I was always the anchor on tog-of-war  I just want to prove I can do it, run a race that is. Oh yes, the back pieces are mentoned online. I fortunaetly dont know of anyone super close to me who has had/died of cancer. So when I do it I will but Weller Oh on my back :A
:T Tis all excited :T
Ames, yes only in the last weekAfter saying I would never on here only 4 months previously. I guess things change... in a good way
