I think I might be able to Pap..is it a Sunday?

Yes Sunday at 11am or 2.30pm. I have no clue how the start time would effect anything as I am a newbie :rotfl: The only problem is it is £12.99 to join in  Don't know how people will feel about that

I wish there was one a bit closer to me to be honest, somewhere like Bournemouth or even exeter

If I can afford it, I'll come and do it with you Pap.

The different start times are just because they must get too many people to have just one event. No difference in abilities etc. Both will be the same, runners at the front, joggers in the middle, walkers at the back...although no-one ever listens and you have to shove your way through for the first km if you want to run the whole way.

Fantastic atmosphere though, sort of relaxed, happy, poignant, upbeat and emotional all at the same time.

also i've taken some pics of jewellery just going to edit them, for some reason i seem to have loadsof earrings and bracelets left and not many necklaces :(

so whats everyone else up to?

i wish i could join you all on this run, but i fall over my feet walking never mind anything else

:T Snaggles, dont feel you need to though I would love for people to join in but can do it alone if need be. I dont want anyone getting into debt etc for lil old me :o

Ahhh I guessed it was something like that. I suppose because its a race/run thats been promoted etc then they get rather busy. Does it make any difference though, I guess not  Ohhh have you done one before then? I dont know why I thought about doing it, maybe because its so huge you could get 'lost'. I bet the atmosphere helps you run :D

Yes, have done a few now, and they are not only pretty huge, but filled with lots and lots of walkers. You could walk the whole thing and not feel remotely out of place - many MANY people do. If you fancy giving running a try, it's not a bad place to start because there's no pressure at all.

Time-wise, it only really makes a difference on a hot day, but saying that, the one I did with Sammy was a morning start, and it was ridiculously hot anyway.

It will be the cost of the trains/hotel that will be the deciding factor, but if I can be there, I will.

Your sig is very relevant to me today. I found out something that completely knocked me sideways and made me feel like all the hard work I've done to try to get back on my feet this last year has been wiped out in the space of a few seconds. I'm sure I will get over it but right now I feel like my heart has been ripped out. I will try to remember your sig though.

Its a good day out but it is expensive for a 5k in effect. Atmosphere is great although it is sad too as people have their reasons for running, often in memory of a family/friend member who has died. I will try and come and do it with you, but will have to wait until the end of the month to let you know
