IS and friend staying

Hope that I can get some advise for a friend. She is single parent on IS. Family friend is 17 and on IS and will be moving in with friend. Will their IS payments be changed or will they both still be able to claim independantly? Any help welcomed, thanx

The 17 year old is having to leave sisters home an hour away when sisters baby born and will be moving in hopefully on a temp basis although housing is in short supply so would prob be there for a while. Not sure if you would call that lodging or place to kip. Sorry
